Alisson Santos's recovery is accelerating, and Napoli's medical staff now believe the Brazilian winger could be back on the pitch a week earlier than their latest assessment suggested.
He has been out since 10 September with the injury picked up in the defeat to Arsenal. The first estimate had pushed his return as far back as early November, before more recent assessments brought it forward to mid-October, around the 17th, after the league game with Frosinone and the Champions League trip to Villarreal. A week's acceleration would put him in contention for the matches straight after those.

The absence is a blow to an already stretched department: Olivera is back in Napoli with a groin injury, Favasuli will be out for around six weeks, and Spinazzola is also sidelined. Alisson Santos will not be available for Saturday 10 October's game against Frosinone either way.
