Alisson to miss Villarreal too, eyes Venezia return
The Brazilian has been out since the Arsenal defeat on 9 September and will also sit out the Frosinone game, with his comeback pencilled in for 17 October.
Alisson will not be available to Massimiliano Allegri for Napoli's Serie A game against Frosinone at the Maradona on Saturday 10 October, and barring a surprise he will also miss the Champions League trip to Villarreal on Tuesday 13 October. The Brazilian forward has been sidelined since 9 September, when he was injured in the home defeat to Arsenal.
The date circled for his return is 17 October, when Napoli travel to the Penzo to face Venezia in the league. It is a comeback that matters: with the team on 7 points and ninth after five rounds, Allegri is waiting on an extra attacking option to break down defences set up to shut games down.
Alex Meret, Leonardo Spinazzola and Scott McTominay are all warming up a return to training as they build up their fitness ahead of the Frosinone game.
