Anguissa set to stay in January as contract talks stall
The midfielder's deal runs to 2027. He wants about €6m a season and the club is offering €3.6m, so a summer exit now looks likely.

Anguissa is not expected to leave Napoli in January. The club is unlikely to take a player with his experience out of midfield in the middle of the season, with the team ninth on 10 points after seven games.
The real question is the summer. His contract expires in 2027 and talks over an extension have stalled. Anguissa is asking for around €6m a season and the offer is €3.6m. His current base salary is €3m net a season, and his total gross cost is a heavy load on the wage bill.

The club has reportedly made it a priority to bring the squad's average age down sharply, starting with its oldest and most expensive players. Midfield is the area where Allegri and the scouting department have planned the biggest changes.
Our view is that a player who has made history at this club could leave over a gap in wages, while the team is well short of its target. Anguissa has just come back from injury and had already been declared fit for the Bodø/Glimt game. He needs to play every one of these months, starting against Roma at the Maradona on Saturday 24 October at 18:00 CET (17:00 UK, 12:00 ET).
