Badiashile has played only 10 minutes this season
The French centre-back, signed on loan from Chelsea with an option to buy, is still waiting for his chance after a forgettable debut at San Siro. Napoli's fixture list turns tough from Saturday 10 October, with Frosinone first up before a run through the league and the Champions League.
Benoît Badiashile has played just 10 minutes in this Serie A season, all of them at the end of Inter-Napoli, coming on with Napoli still ahead. His performance, short on tempo and shaky at the back, was named among the causes of Inter's comeback that closed the game out 3-2. Napoli's supporters have not forgiven him for it.
Badiashile arrived in the summer from Chelsea on a paid loan with an option to buy. The 25-year-old is 194cm tall, left-footed and comfortable building play from the back, and was one of the most sought-after young defenders in Europe during his time at Monaco. He never established himself in England: 71 appearances in total, with recent seasons hit by injuries and competition for places, leaving him on the fringes of the squad in 2025-26.

From Saturday 10 October, when Frosinone visit the Maradona, Napoli enter a run of nine matches across Serie A and the Champions League before the next international break. For Badiashile, that stretch is his chance to earn real minutes and put the San Siro night behind him.
