CASMS flags Napoli-Frosinone over security concerns
Italy's national sporting events observatory has placed the 10 October fixture on its watch list, with ticket sales for Frosinone-area residents set to be restricted to members of the club's loyalty scheme.

Napoli's home game against Frosinone, kicking off at 20:45 CET on Saturday 10 October at the Maradona, has been placed under review by the Interior Ministry's national observatory on sporting events, known as CASMS.
The match, the sixth round of Serie A, has been classified as a fixture requiring attention. The first operational guidance has already reached the local security committee (GOS) on the recommendation of the Questura, the local police authority.

The most concrete measure concerns ticket sales. For residents of the province of Frosinone, tickets would be sold exclusively in the away section, and only to members of Frosinone Calcio's loyalty programme. The restriction would significantly narrow the pool of Frosinone supporters able to follow their team to Fuorigrotta, the Naples district where the Maradona sits.
Other measures under discussion include increased stewarding inside the stadium and tighter checks, with particular emphasis on pre-filtering and filtering fans as they enter. The picture remains provisional: CASMS has yet to issue its formal, final determinations on how and when sales for the away section will actually open.
The fixture arrives at a tense moment for the club. Napoli sit ninth with 7 points after five rounds, following a 1-1 draw in Florence, and recent weeks have seen more than one banner critical of the club's board appear around the city. Frosinone, sixth in the table, could be without their top scorer Antonio Raimondo, who is dealing with an Achilles tendon injury.
General ticket sales have been open since 24 September. It now falls to the relevant authorities to settle how access will work for Frosinone's travelling supporters, with a definitive answer expected in the coming days as the 10 October kick-off draws closer.
