Lazio beat Parma 2-1 and stay top of the group on 22 points. Parma are 19th on 4 points after eight games.

The result that reshapes the middle of the table is Cagliari 0-2 Bologna. Bologna climb to 8 points and 13th. Cagliari stay on 13, eighth, level with Frosinone and Torino. Torino arrived on the back of a 3-2 win over Monza on Friday, which leaves Monza 15th on 7 points.

Where Napoli stand

After the 3-3 draw with Roma on Saturday, Napoli are ninth on 11 points. That is seven behind Roma and 11 behind Lazio. Inter have 19 points and a game in hand, so some of the teams above Napoli still have a match to play.

It is not a gap to look at calmly, and the 3-3 did nothing to close it.

What comes next

The round continues on Sunday 25 October with Genoa v Venezia and Atalanta v Frosinone at 15:00 CET, Lecce v Juventus at 18:00 and Udinese v Milan at 20:45.

On Tuesday 27 October three games matter to the teams above Napoli: Sassuolo v Lazio at 18:30 CET, then Torino v Como and Roma v Cagliari at 20:45. If Lazio or Roma drop points, Napoli can make up some ground. If both win, the gap stays as it is.

Napoli play on Wednesday 28 October at 20:45 CET, away to Monza. Monza have 7 points and come off defeat to Torino. After the draw with Roma, and after two games without a win before the Bodø tie, Napoli need to win rather than watch the others.
