Alisson is nearing a return, but Napoli's staff do not expect to have him available again for several more weeks. Further behind him are Costantino Favasuli and Antonio Vergara, who are aiming to be back after the season's second international break — with Napoli's home game against Torino on 21 November circled as the target date.

Favasuli, a full-back, was injured on Under-21 duty. Vergara, a midfielder, suffered a right soleus injury while away with the senior national team. The pair are two of several names who have weighed down the treatment room at Castel Volturno (Napoli's training ground) for weeks, in a season that has already seen Napoli slip to ninth place with 7 points from 5 games.

Alessandro Buongiorno will be the last man back. He has been out of the group since the end of summer following surgery on the medial meniscus root of his right knee, and his rehabilitation remains the longest of all, with a return expected well beyond 21 November.
