Favasuli set for six weeks out, return pushed back to mid-November
The full-back's muscle injury is worse than first thought, so Allegri's plan for him is on hold and Politano keeps covering the left.

Costantino Favasuli will be out for around six weeks. The muscle injury, confirmed in recent days after he picked it up on Under-21 duty, points to a return between mid and late November, during the next international break window.
Napoli play Torino on 21 November, Manchester City on 24 November and Sassuolo away on 29 November — one of those three is the realistic target for his comeback.

The long absence shelves the tactical plan Allegri had in mind for the summer signing. With Favasuli out, the head coach will not change his set-up: Matteo Politano keeps covering that flank across the league and the Champions League, with David Neres — building up condition during this break — as the option on the right. Antonio Vergara is not seen as suited to that role; Allegri views him more as a holding midfielder, or at most on the left.
