Foschi: Napoli weakened, not badly managed, will still chase top four
The former Palermo sporting director tells Stile Tv the problem at Napoli is a squad missing players, not a coach getting it wrong.
Rino Foschi, the former Palermo sporting director, has defended Massimiliano Allegri. "Napoli have an internal problem, Allegri isn't the problem," he told Stile Tv. "We're talking about a very good coach, Napoli are a good team, just depleted, and I'm convinced there will be a recovery. Allegri will come through it and Napoli will fight for the top four. Roma and Como are good sides, but Napoli and Inter are the real certainties."
On Allegri specifically, Foschi added: "Allegri doesn't need to learn anything, he has to solve some serious problems, but he has experience and can sort everything out. Something very bad happened to him at Milan, but he learned from it, he has a thick skin now."

The comments land during the international break, with Napoli ninth in Serie A on 7 points from 5 games after drawing at Fiorentina. The team is back in action on Saturday 10 October at the Maradona against Frosinone, a match already being framed locally as a test for Allegri.
