Giovane trains with Napoli group again after hernia surgery
The Brazilian had inguinal hernia surgery at Villa Stuart on 3 September and took part in part of Wednesday's morning session at Castel Volturno during the international break.
Napoli held a morning session at Castel Volturno on Wednesday 30 September, with several players still away on international duty. Giovane returned to the group, twenty-seven days after having inguinal hernia surgery at Villa Stuart on 3 September, taking part in part of the training.
The squad worked on physical activation and technical drills before closing the session with a metabolic exercise. For Allegri, Giovane's recovery comes at a time when the attack needs alternatives: Højlund remains the only genuine centre-forward option, Lucca is yet to score in the league, and the head coach is weighing using Vergara or Neres as a false nine during October's heavy fixture run.

Napoli are back in action on Saturday 10 October at the Maradona against Frosinone, ahead of a run of nine matches across the league and the Champions League.
