Gueye warns Napoli there are no small teams in the Champions League
The Villarreal midfielder tells Marca that Tuesday's Champions League clash at the Estadio de la Cerámica is pivotal, with both sides looking to bounce back from recent setbacks.
Pape Gueye isn't taking anything for granted. The Villarreal midfielder, speaking to Marca, sized up Tuesday's Champions League clash with Napoli at the Estadio de la Cerámica.
When you play the Champions League there are no small teams. You have to be very careful with this team. We know how crucial this match is, we've talked about it and we want to win. We'll give everything, and playing at the Estadio de la Cerámica I hope the whole crowd gets behind us to make it happen.
Gueye has three goals in eight Liga games this season, and Villarreal arrive off the back of a defeat at Real Madrid. Napoli, by contrast, come into the game on a 3-0 win over Frosinone, their third straight positive result, looking for redemption after a 0-1 defeat to Arsenal in their league-phase opener. Kick-off is at 21:00 CET (20:00 UK, 15:00 ET) on Tuesday 13 October, live on Sky Sport Arena and Sky Sport.
