Juan Jesus: Napoli are a very strong side, but luck had to turn our way eventually
The two-time title winner was among the key figures in Venezia's win over his old club, and spoke to Dazn about the result and new coach Nicola.
Juan Jesus played a central role as Venezia beat Napoli at the Penzo, with Adams's 49th-minute goal deciding the match. The Brazilian defender, who made several important interventions against his former side, spoke to Dazn after the final whistle: "Today against Napoli we showed that luck had to turn our way eventually. Against a very strong side we deserved the win. We're getting ready for the next game."
Juan Jesus added: "I don't even know how I took it in, now let's enjoy the win with the right mentality, because we have a lot of work to do." On Paolo Nicola, who replaced Stroppa as Venezia's head coach this week: "Nicola? He already has an important mark on the group, he knows how to get into your head, just like Stroppa did. Nicola has helped us, we deserve to do well with him too."

Juan Jesus wore the Napoli shirt from 2021 until his contract expired last summer, making 130 appearances and scoring 5 goals, and winning two Serie A titles and an Italian Super Cup. On Saturday, as an opponent, he helped inflict a defeat on his former teammates that stings back in Naples.
