Lang set for Fiorentina start as Allegri weighs attack change

The Dutch winger, already a starter against Como, has edged ahead of Vergara after his impact off the bench versus Bologna.

Massimiliano Allegri is considering changes to his Napoli side for Sunday's trip to Fiorentina at the Franchi, with the main one up front: Noa Lang is in line for a starting shirt. The Dutch winger started against Como and was in contention to start against Bologna too, but Allegri picked Vergara that day before bringing Lang on in the second half.

That cameo won the head coach over, both for its attacking impact and for Lang's work off the ball. Allegri still wants more end product from him, in a forward line that struggles to find goals beyond Højlund. He is also weighing a possible change involving Olivera in defence, while Anguissa is back in contention after sitting out following Bologna with a muscular problem.

Sunday 20 September's kick-off at the Franchi is at 12:30 CET, and it could be Lang's first league start of the season. Napoli sit tenth with 6 points, making every selection count for more than usual.
