Lazio can open gap on Inter with win over Juventus
Roma and Cagliari have the simplest fixtures of the weekend, Como and Torino chase ground on the pack above, and Napoli travel to a Venezia side still without a point this season.

On Tuesday 13 October, Torino beat Udinese 2-1 and Atalanta thrashed Venezia 3-1, shifts that already moved the bottom of the table. The round running from Friday 16 to Monday 19 October decides whether those results stick, with nine matches touching the top, the middle and the foot of the standings.
Lazio and Inter are level on 16 points at the top, but only Lazio are in action this round: they travel to Turin on Sunday evening to face Juventus, sixth on 11 points. A win would put Lazio on 19 and open a gap on Inter; defeat would reopen the race at the top and give Juventus a lift back toward the leaders. It is the round's first real fork for two clubs arriving at it from very different runs of form.

Roma, third on 14 points, host Genoa, 17th on 4 points, on Saturday evening — the simplest fixture of the round for staying in touch with the top. Cagliari, fourth on 13, travel to Monza, 16th on 4 points, on Monday evening, another chance for one of the leading sides to pull clear of the sides further back.
Further down, Como, seventh on 11 points, go to Fiorentina, 19th on 4 points, on Sunday, looking to gain ground on the places that matter. Torino, after beating Udinese, continue their own push away to Parma, 18th on 4 points, on Monday evening. Atalanta, fresh from putting three past Venezia, face a tougher test on Sunday away to Milan, fifth on 12 points.
Napoli's part in the round comes at Venezia on Saturday at 15:00 CET. Venezia are bottom with zero points after six games and still looking for their first result of the season, hosting a Napoli side eighth on 10 points.
