McTominay could return to full training within days
The Scot is still doing individual work at Castel Volturno, but recovery signs are positive and his return-to-play programme is on track.

Scott McTominay is closing in on a return to full training with the rest of the Napoli squad. The Scottish midfielder again did individual work during Wednesday's afternoon session at Castel Volturno, where the group worked on possession and small-sided games after their warm-up. Signs on his recovery remain encouraging, and a return to group training is expected within days.
It is the next step in a staged comeback that began after McTominay underwent cardiac ablation surgery in Manchester on 9 September. He was back in Naples on 21 September, and from 29 September he resumed gym work while still avoiding contact, ahead of rejoining full training and eventually being cleared to play. The stated target remains availability for the Frosinone game on 10 October, with no steps skipped.
