Napoli eye Coulibaly and Szymański as Anguissa cover
Giovanni Manna has reportedly identified two targets for January as talks over a new deal for André-Frank Anguissa stall: Monaco's Mamadou Coulibaly and Rennes' Sebastian Szymański.

André-Frank Anguissa's contract runs to 30 June 2027, and renewal talks have stalled, with Milan already informed about a possible free transfer. With little room left for an agreement, Napoli are reportedly considering bringing forward the signing of a replacement to January, to give head coach Allegri an extra option in midfield.
The board's preferred name is Mamadou Coulibaly, a Monaco midfielder whose athletic profile and ability to break up play make him the closest match to Anguissa. Also on the list is Sebastian Szymański of Rennes, already identified as plan B for the same role: versatile and technically gifted off the front, with the option to use him as a box-to-box midfielder too.

The January window opens on Saturday 2 January and closes on Tuesday 2 February — a narrow gap in which to move early on a departure that, for now, looks only a matter of time.
