Napoli fans turn on Allegri after Venezia defeat
Supporters flooded social media after the 1-0 loss at the Penzo, many calling for the head coach to go, but Aurelio De Laurentiis is not ready to act.
Napoli lost 1-0 at Venezia on Saturday 17 October, their fifth defeat in nine official games this season. At the Penzo, Allegri's side gave away the first half and mustered only a weak response after the break, never finding the energy to turn the result around.
Patience among supporters on social media has run out. Comments included "the situation is worrying", "the team is confused, Allegri hasn't understood anything", "Napoli in crisis, a team with no bite", "De Laurentiis is only thinking about the Centenario (the club's 100th-anniversary celebrations)", "Allegri is disappointing" and "Antonio Conte was right".

Allegri should be sacked
De Laurentiis is not satisfied with what he saw at the Penzo, but for now there will be no drastic move: the president is waiting, and it is the results of the coming weeks that will decide Allegri's future. The first test comes on Tuesday 20 October, at the Maradona against Bodø/Glimt in the Champions League.
