Napoli get Giovane, Meret and Spinazzola back, but eight still missing
Head coach Allegri has three internationals back in training at Castel Volturno two days out from Frosinone, but the treatment room stays crowded across the whole squad.

Three players returned to group training at Castel Volturno on Thursday 8 October: Giovane, Meret and Spinazzola, with the goalkeeper pencilled in as a probable starter for Saturday. The injury list, though, still runs to eight names, two days before Napoli host Frosinone at the Maradona on Saturday 10 October at 20:45 CET.
The two heaviest cases are Favasuli, out for around six weeks with a return expected in mid-to-late November, and Vergara, sidelined by a grade-two strain of the right soleus that already rules him out of Frosinone, Villarreal and Venezia, with some reports stretching his absence into November. Buongiorno, Olivera, Anguissa, Beukema and Alisson Santos complete the list, while the McTominay question remains unresolved: he was due a fitness check on Thursday 8 October following his heart surgery on 8 September.

With so many gaps down the flanks, Allegri is working on emergency fixes — from using Badiashile as an auxiliary left-back to possible rotation for Politano — in a fixture schedule that leaves no room to wait in the coming weeks.
