Napoli have tracked Kvernadze since 2022, Kvaratskhelia's agent
Napoli's scouts were among those watching the Frosinone winger give Como's full-backs a torrid afternoon. The two sides meet on the pitch first, on 10 October.
Giorgi Kvernadze, the Georgian winger who gave Como's defence a torrid afternoon, is this season's breakout player at Frosinone: three goals and an assist in the league, plus two more in the Coppa Italia (Italy's cup competition). Napoli's scouts were among those watching him do it. The Napoli connection runs deeper than a shared passport with Kvaratskhelia — the two share the same agent, Mamuka Jugeli — and Napoli had already noted him back in 2022, before Kvaratskhelia became a Serie A name.
He is not short of suitors. Roma and Fiorentina are also on his trail, and Hull City are watching from England with January in mind. Frosinone signed him from Kolkheti Poti in the summer of 2023, first on loan and then with a permanent deal for under €1m. Holding on to him in January, with these numbers and this level of competition, will not be straightforward.

The window reopens on 2 January and closes on 2 February, so for now Kvernadze is just a name on Napoli's list, not a negotiation. The two will meet on the pitch before any of that: Frosinone visit the Maradona on 10 October, in a game Napoli need to turn their season around — they sit ninth with 7 points from 5 matches.
