Napoli have launched "Tanos" on their official channels, a cultural and multimedia project telling the story of the bond between Neapolitan people and Argentina. The name comes from the term Argentina has used affectionately for generations for arrivals from Italy, and from Campania in particular: a popular contraction of "napolitano". Behind the project lies the story of emigration that carried the city's colours, gestures and passion across the Atlantic, a link that over the years has also become tied to Diego Armando Maradona.
The multimedia content around the launch, starting with the video put out in the last few hours, is registering a boom in views and engagement among fans, on social media and in supporters' chats. The club is pushing the project while the fanbase's attention is elsewhere: the protests against De Laurentiis, the banners of recent nights, and a start to the season that leaves Napoli ninth on 7 points after five rounds.
