Napoli monitor Dodò as Fiorentina renewal stalls
The Brazilian full-back's contract runs out in June with no agreement in sight — Fiorentina will decide at the next international break, while Napoli watch the right-back situation.

Talks between Dodò and Fiorentina over a new contract have made no progress. The Brazilian full-back's deal expires in June, and without a signature the viola risk losing him for nothing next summer — the same situation Napoli face with Anguissa. His agent will meet Fiorentina's board in the coming weeks, but the date that really matters is the next international break, when the club will take a final decision on his future.
Dodò was already tipped to leave Florence last June, which explains his drop down the pecking order: Jiménez — who scored Fiorentina's equaliser in the 1-1 draw with Napoli on 20 September, in the 51st minute — and João Mario are both now ahead of him. If no agreement is reached by December, Fiorentina could look to sell in January rather than lose him for free in the summer.

Napoli are watching the situation but have not yet made a move. Allegri's side see the right-back slot as an area to strengthen, and any Fiorentina opening in the January window, which runs from 2 January to 2 February, could reopen a dossier already doing the rounds at Napoli in recent days.
