Napoli name 19 for Villarreal, Anguissa misses out
Giovane replaces the injured Favasuli on the Champions League squad list, while Anguissa is left out despite returning to training.
Head coach Allegri has named 19 players for the trip to Spain, where Napoli face Villarreal at the Estadio de la Ceramica on Tuesday 13 October at 21:00. The squad: Badiashile, Beukema, Contini, De Bruyne, Di Lorenzo, Gilmour, Giovane, Højlund, Lang, Lobotka, Lucca, Rafa Marín, McTominay, Meret, Milinković-Savić, Neres, Politano, Rrahmani and Spinazzola.
There is one change to the UEFA list: Favasuli, who made his Napoli debut in the Champions League against Arsenal, drops out with an injury that will keep him sidelined for at least a couple of months. Giovane takes his place, giving the attack another option. Marianucci has not been included on the UEFA list.
Anguissa also misses out. The midfielder had pushed to be ready in time for Villarreal and took part in some group training, but Allegri has not called him up. Buongiorno, still out long-term, and the injured Alisson Santos, Olivera and Vergara are unavailable too.
