Napoli nears deal with Q8 over new stadium land
The club is close to agreeing terms with Q8 Italia for the former refinery site, with a yes-or-no deadline set for December.

Talks between Aurelio De Laurentiis and Q8 Italia over land for Napoli's new stadium have reached a decisive stage. The president is said to be close to a deal on plots in the former refinery area, with the deadline for a final yes or no set for December.
The site covers roughly 25 hectares bordered by via De Roberto and the Strada Provinciale delle Brecce, already decontaminated and ready for construction. Q8 is asking more than €20m for the land, the main sticking point in the talks. On Monday chief executive Andrea Chiavelli attended a two-and-a-half-hour meeting on the project, which could see the Aponte family — owners of MSC Crociere — come in as partners, under the working name MSC Arena.

The city council is not standing in the way. Mayor Gaetano Manfredi confirmed the project remains an open option, not yet decided. A new stadium would not affect the separate renovation of the Maradona ahead of Euro 2032.
