Napoli price McTominay at €70m as Mourinho eyes him for Real Madrid
Talks over a new contract have stalled on wages for weeks, and Real Madrid's head coach is reportedly ready to take advantage.
Scott McTominay's contract talks with Napoli have been stuck on money for weeks, and José Mourinho is now among the coaches watching the situation. The Real Madrid head coach is said to be seriously considering the Scotland international as a reinforcement for his midfield.
McTominay's entourage is believed to be asking for around €9m a season, a figure Aurelio De Laurentiis sees as outside Napoli's budget. The club would reportedly go up to a maximum of €6-7m. His current contract runs to June 2028, and interest from clubs such as Real Madrid is helping him hold firm on his demands.

Without progress in the coming months, Napoli would consider selling him next summer rather than let the contract run closer to its expiry, banking a profit instead. De Laurentiis has for now set McTominay's price at €70m.
