Napoli remembers ANSA reporter Francesco Tedesco, dead at 52
Club communications chief Nicola Lombardo paid an emotional tribute to the reporters present, remembering Tedesco as a journalist who checked every fact and a decent man.

Napoli paused to remember Francesco Tedesco, the ANSA journalist who died on Thursday 8 October at the age of 52, after years following the club as the agency's correspondent. Head of communications Nicola Lombardo addressed the reporters present with a moved tribute, met with a long round of applause from his colleagues.
"He was here with us, with you, until not long ago. He's gone, and I was particularly struck by it, like all of you," Lombardo said, recalling the club's statement from the day before.

"I was struck because he was a journalist from another era, even though he was young: at ANSA he checked his sources, he wrote only things that had been verified - journalism you don't always find these days. He was a decent man. On my behalf and yours, our closeness to his family. And my regret at not having spent more time with him, and not having answered all the calls he used to make to me," Lombardo added.
