The away end at the Estadio de la Cerámica has sold out for Villarreal-Napoli, the second matchday of the Champions League league phase, kicking off at 21:00 CET on Tuesday 13 October. Over 1,600 Napoli supporters are expected in Spain, with the renovated section also hosting hundreds of ultras who have travelled directly from Italy.

The two fanbases have never had trouble in six previous meetings. The best-known incident dates back to 2011, when a barrier collapsed at the old Madrigal stadium under the weight of celebrating Napoli fans, causing some injuries but no clashes between the two groups.
