Napoli's transfer dealings add €128m in value, CIES finds
The CIES Football Observatory's revaluation index gives Napoli a healthy balance sheet gain, but Atalanta and Roma both do better in Serie A.

The 557th bulletin from the CIES Football Observatory puts Napoli's overall transfer revaluation at €128m on non-academy players bought in the last five years: €81m already banked from completed sales, plus €47m in estimated revaluation on players still under contract, from a transfer volume of €878m.
That places Napoli in the middle of the world rankings, led by Eintracht Frankfurt (+€527m), Real Madrid (+€526m) and Paris Saint-Germain (+€490m). In Serie A, Atalanta (+€354m) and Roma (+€323m) both break into the world's top ten, ahead of Udinese (+€252m), Bologna and Inter (+€236m each), Lazio (+€147m) and Juventus (+€145m — +€230m on players still owned, -€85m on completed sales).
CIES itself notes the indicator weighs none of trophies, points or squad quality. It is not the kind of number that changes the picture for a team ninth in the table and fresh off a 3-1 defeat at Villarreal — smart business boosts the balance sheet, but on the pitch it is a different matter, and that is what supporters want to see.
