Napoli scout Frosinone keeper Palmisani, Juventus also watching
Giovanni Manna is tracking the 2004-born Italy Under-21 number one as a long-term option in goal, with Alex Meret's contract up in 2027 and Vanja Milinković-Savić close to leaving Napoli this past summer.

Giovanni Manna has added Lorenzo Palmisani, Frosinone's 2004-born goalkeeper and an Italy Under-21 starter, to his list of options for the future in goal. Alex Meret's contract runs out in 2027, and Vanja Milinković-Savić came close to leaving Napoli in the summer window that has just closed.
Napoli are not alone in watching the player nicknamed the "Buffon of the Ciociaria" (the Frosinone area) for his current form. Juventus made a concrete move in the summer, discussing a deal worth €7-8m with Frosinone, and Inter have since joined the race. His standout performances in Serie A have pushed his valuation up to €20-25m.

Napoli's goalkeeper situation also remains open on the contract-renewal side, with Meret's case still to be resolved. Palmisani is a separate matter, though: this is scouting, not a negotiation, and the transfer window stays shut until 2 January. The twist is that Manna's target plays for the side Napoli face at the Maradona on Saturday 10 October, in Serie A's sixth round.
