Napoli set to start Giovane behind Højlund against Villarreal
Allegri is considering a switch to a back three for tonight's 21:00 Champions League trip to the Estadio de la Cerámica, with McTominay and Gilmour also in line to start.

Allegri is set to field a different Napoli to the one that played Frosinone for tonight's 21:00 Champions League away game against Villarreal. Giovane could start behind Højlund, with a 3-5-2 replacing Saturday's back four. On the flanks, Di Lorenzo is set to move to left back with Politano back on the right, as Olivera is unavailable.
The biggest change is in midfield: McTominay and Gilmour could both start alongside De Bruyne, with Lobotka set to rest on the bench. McTominay had heart surgery on 8 September for a benign arrhythmia and came on as a substitute against Frosinone on his return; tonight would be his first start since. Napoli are looking to use the game to bounce back from their Champions League opener, a 0-1 defeat to Arsenal.
