Ticket sales stay slow for Napoli-Bodø/Glimt at the Maradona

Free sale opened on Monday 12 October for Tuesday 20 October's Champions League visit of Bodø/Glimt, with prices up to €125 — and far more appetite for Napoli's league meeting with Roma on 24 October.

Free sale for Napoli's Champions League game against Bodø/Glimt opened on Monday 12 October, and with four days to go until kick-off on Tuesday 20 October (21:00 CET at the Maradona), demand has stayed flat. Availability is high for the lower Curva B and the Tribuna Posillipo, medium for Curva A, the lower Distinti and the Tribuna Nisida. Only the upper Distinti have moved, with stock there now low. Prices in free sale run from €45 for the upper curves to €85 for the Distinti, €105 for the Tribuna Nisida and €125 for the Tribuna Posillipo.

It is not a one-off. The group-stage opener against Arsenal also fell short of a sell-out, with around 42,000 tickets sold. Napoli have taken zero points from their two Champions League games since — a 0-1 home defeat to the Gunners and a 3-1 loss at Villarreal — and that run is doing nothing to fill the stands. Sales for the Serie A game against Roma on 24 October, which opened on Tuesday 13 October, are drawing far more interest.

The contrast with the league says it all: the Maradona sold out for Frosinone in Serie A. In the Champions League, with this start and these prices, Napoli's fanbase would rather stay away for now.
