Venezia's Stroppa fights for his job before facing Napoli
Venezia go to Atalanta on zero points, and the club have already made contact with Paolo Zanetti and Davide Nicola as possible replacements for Giovanni Stroppa.
Venezia arrive in Bergamo with zero points and head coach Giovanni Stroppa under real pressure. The club do not expect a win over Atalanta, but they want to see a reaction with some character; another bad result could lead to his sacking, and the board are said to have already opened contact with two alternatives, Paolo Zanetti and Davide Nicola.
If the change does happen, the new coach would make his debut against Napoli, on Saturday 17 October.

Napoli, who beat Frosinone 3-0 and are already looking ahead to their Champions League trip to Villarreal on Tuesday 13 October, would then face a wounded Venezia side potentially lifted by the emotional jolt of a new coach — a factor worth watching in what remains a tricky away game regardless of who is in the Venezia dugout.
