Antonio Vergara made his senior Italy debut in Saturday 3 October's 1-1 draw with France at the Stade de France in Saint-Denis.
The Napoli midfielder was on the pitch for around half an hour, catching the eye both defensively and in attack, and was involved in the move that led to Bastoni's equalising goal.

"Sono felicissimo del debutto. Il mister mi ha detto di puntare l'avversario quando sono entrato. Vogliamo giocarcela sempre a viso aperto con qualsiasi avversario," Vergara told Rai Sport after the match.
It is a step up from the bench in Bursa against Turkey, where coach Mancini had kept him ready without using him. On the same night of international fixtures, Kevin De Bruyne scored twice in Belgium's 3-0 win over Turkey. Vergara now returns to Castel Volturno (Napoli's training ground) ahead of Napoli-Frosinone at the Maradona on 10 October.
