Marianucci banned for Lazio game as Napoli fined €5,000 over chants
The disciplinary ruling on Juventus-Napoli adds the defender to a long injury and suspension list. A handful of travelling fans cost the club money and some of its reputation.

Marianucci will miss Sunday's visit of league leaders Lazio. He has been given a one-match ban, and Napoli have been fined €5,000.
Gerardo Mastrandrea, Serie A's disciplinary judge, issued the sanctions for the tenth round of matches on Tuesday 3 November. Marianucci was booked in the 38th minute at the Allianz Stadium and sent off for a second yellow card in the 75th. The league's statement cites "unsporting behaviour towards an opponent". He will not be available at the Maradona on Sunday 8 November, kick-off 12:30 CET (11:30 UK, 06:30 ET).

The fine could have been avoided. After the final whistle, a small group of Napoli supporters directed offensive chants at the Juventus fans. More than 2,000 Napoli fans made the trip to Turin, but it only took a few of them to get the club's name into the statement. The amount is small. The embarrassment is not, on a night that already gave Napoli plenty to be ashamed of.
Allegri returns to the bench against Lazio after serving his own ban, and this leaves him another problem in a defence that was already short of players. Marianucci is not on the UEFA squad list for the Dragão either. On Sunday he will be the 11th name on the list of unavailable players.
