Papers look past the 1-4 at Monza to Juventus and De Laurentiis in Geneva
The papers split their Napoli pages between the line-up for Sunday's trip to Turin and the owner's visit to MSC's headquarters. They also read the midfield, and De Bruyne, very differently.
The morning after the 1-4 win at Monza, the papers spent little time on the match and moved straight on to Sunday. Juventus-Napoli kicks off at 20:45 CET (19:45 UK, 14:45 ET) on Sunday 1 November at the Allianz Stadium. It is Napoli's first game against a side of their own level after three matches without defeat.
Napoli are sixth on 14 points, six behind fourth-placed Como. The other story is the club itself. Aurelio De Laurentiis's trip to Geneva is still being read in different ways.

Line-up and midfield
The Corriere dello Sport leads on the team: "Meret and De Bruyne return". Both are expected to start in Turin. Questions remain over the formation and the midfield. The paper puts those decisions down to Massimiliano Allegri, but Marco Landucci will be on the bench again on Sunday because Allegri is serving the second game of his two-match ban.
On that sending-off against Roma, DAZN reports what the coach is alleged to have said to Colombo and Sacchi. We have only the headline of that piece.
The midfield has to change regardless. Lobotka was stretchered off after 17 minutes at Monza. On Thursday 29 October the club announced a bruise and sprain to his left ankle, with no return date.
Two readings of De Bruyne
The player ratings do not agree. Sky Sport made Politano man of the match with a 7 for his goal and assist, and gave its lowest mark to De Bruyne, even though the Belgian scored the fifth goal of the night. The Corriere dello Sport puts him back at the centre of the side for Turin.
Before kick-off, sporting director Giovanni Manna said De Bruyne had been left out of the starting XI because he was tired. He also told Sky the squad "needs a bit of freshening up". That remark is more about how the squad is built than about any one match.
The defence
The defence, which the fans have been worried about for weeks, reaches the papers mainly through the players. Rafa Marín, who scored the fourth goal, told DAZN: "We are working a lot on the defence." Manna, also speaking to DAZN, had described it as a situation the team needs to get out of. Neither of them played the problem down, even on the night of a win.
"We are working a lot on the defence."
Stadium, sponsor or sale
The papers read the ownership story in two different ways. Il Mattino describes a meeting with the Aponte family at MSC's headquarters, where De Laurentiis is said to have presented the stadium project. According to the paper, sponsorship was probably discussed too.
In the follow-up coverage, La Repubblica is cited instead as confirming a possible buyer who is a "huge Napoli fan". That line is all we have of its piece. So one paper is talking about a stadium and a sponsor, and another about selling the club. The president said again last week that Napoli are not for sale.
At Juventus, Tuttosport's headline reads "Juve, no parking", and the coverage has Spalletti still under pressure.
Our view
The papers are right to look straight ahead to Turin. Winning 1-4 away at a Monza side sitting 15th is the least this squad should manage. It is not a turning point.
What their coverage leaves out is what the numbers say about the defence. Napoli have conceded 11 goals in 9 matches, and they allowed 12 shots to a side that had 35% of the ball. The worry the fans felt on Wednesday night has not gone away, and Rafa Marín's words admit as much.
These two games with Landucci on the bench tell us little about Allegri. The verdict on him resumes on 8 November against Lazio. On the stadium, the sponsor and a possible sale, the club needs to say something clear instead of leaving the papers to read it in different ways.
