Massimiliano Allegri used his post-match press conference after the draw with Fiorentina to confirm Napoli will play two friendlies during the international break, which stops Serie A for two consecutive weekends.
The head coach said Scott McTominay will rejoin the group during the break, and argued that playing matches is the only way to build up fitness. Napoli face nine games in quick succession once the break ends, and Allegri said he will need every player available.

The announcement came on the day Napoli moved to 7 points and 9th place after a 1-1 draw at Fiorentina. The club return to league action on Saturday 10 October against Frosinone at the Maradona.
