Allegri: 'No more talking, we have to beat Bologna'

Napoli have not won at the Maradona this season and go into Sunday's match against Bologna on the back of three straight defeats, without Anguissa.

Massimiliano Allegri did not mince his words going into Sunday 13 September's game against Bologna at the Maradona. "No more talking — on Sunday we have to beat Bologna," he said.

On Sunday we have the chance to start winning at home, something we haven't done yet, even though we've only played Como and Arsenal in the Champions League. And there's not much to say, because we know the moment we're in. We've come off three defeats, and in moments like these...

Three straight defeats — to Como, to Inter and to Arsenal in the Champions League — leave Napoli on 3 points and 12th after three rounds. At the Maradona this season Napoli are still without a win: 1-2 to Como in the league, then 0-1 to Arsenal. Bologna arrive 15th with a single point and without Domenico Tedesco, suspended from the bench; Napoli will be without Anguissa. Kick-off is 18:00 CET.

Winning, as Allegri framed it, is not one option among others — it is the only thing to discuss. Another home defeat, a third in a row across two competitions, would shift the conversation from performance to results.
