Juventus beat Napoli 2-0 in Turin, with Alajbegovic scoring on 70 minutes and Boga on 87. Napoli finished with ten men after Marianucci's second yellow card on 75.

For an hour it was a game of nerves rather than chances. Napoli had slightly more of the ball, 51% to 49%, but never turned it into danger. Juventus won the shot count 18-7 and the shots on target 4-1.

Luiz and Lucumi were booked inside the first 20 minutes, so Juventus brought the intensity early. Napoli picked up Marianucci's yellow on 38 and waited to see how the game would develop.

Napoli made two changes at half-time. Rrahmani replaced Di Lorenzo and Gilmour replaced De Bruyne, so the captain and the player most looked to in this team went off together. Allegri was suspended and not on the bench, so the second-half decisions came from his stand-in. Vergara replaced Politano on 61.

Juventus answered in kind. Gatti replaced McKennie on 45+1, and Zhegrova came on for Muani on 59.

Zhegrova made the breakthrough. He set up Alajbegovic on 70, and Napoli, with their only shot on target of the match, had nothing built to chase the game with. Five minutes later Marianucci was sent off for a second booking. Juventus then replaced Alajbegovic with Boga.

Boga sealed it on 87, set up by Cambiaso, who had come on on 82. Those were the two moves of a Juventus bench that changed the rhythm of the game. Napoli's bench did not.

Napoli stay seventh with 15 points after 10 games, with Lazio, Inter and Roma already well ahead. The supporters are right to demand answers from a team that managed one shot on target in Turin.

Next up is Porto at the Estadio do Dragao on Wednesday 4 November, kick-off 21:00 CET (20:00 UK, 15:00 ET). The Champions League is a separate competition, but the fanbase still feels judged. After Turin, Napoli need to show a different side.
