André-Frank Anguissa has entered Milan's radar, with the Rossoneri reportedly making contact with the midfielder's agents over a free transfer that would stay entirely within Serie A. Anguissa's Napoli contract runs until 30 June 2027, and a renewal is far from guaranteed: sporting director Giovanni Manna has himself admitted in interviews that a free departure is a concrete possibility.
Money is at the heart of the stand-off. Anguissa's wages are already high, and his demands for a new deal are said to be going up rather than down. His form has not convinced the fanbase either, and physical fragility has become an issue in recent weeks: he is out with a recurrence of a myofascial injury to his right adductor and was missing again from the training report on Friday 25 September.

Anguissa's name was already being mentioned by those calling for the squad to be rebuilt department by department after a start to the season worth 9th place and 7 points from 5 games. Now there is a concrete suitor to go with it. The January window, which opens on 2 January and closes on 2 February, will show whether the renewal talks actually break the deadlock.
