Lang tries to skip the salute to the fans and the Maradona turns on him
After the 1-1 draw with Lazio on Sunday 8 November, Allegri's staff sent the Dutchman back onto the pitch. He was still the first to leave, and the stands let him hear it.

At the final whistle of Napoli-Lazio, Noa Lang tried to head straight for the dressing room. He did not stop beneath the two Curve (the ends behind each goal) for the usual salute to the supporters. Allegri's staff stopped him and brought him back onto the pitch with the rest of the squad. Lang stayed with his teammates for a few minutes. Then he broke away first and walked back towards the tunnel.
The Maradona noticed and reacted at once. Fierce chants were aimed at the number 70, including "get out of Naples" followed by an insult we will not repeat. It was the reaction of a crowd that had spent the week between the squad's retreat at Pozzuoli and a protest outside the team hotel. Yet Sunday's equaliser, a Pedraza own goal in the 48th minute, came from a Lang cross.

Let us be clear. With the team tenth on 15 points and three games without a win, turning your back on the fans is a mistake no player can afford. But an insult solves nothing. The dressing room and the coach now have to close the matter before Saturday 21 November, when Torino visit at 20:45 CET (19:45 UK, 14:45 ET). We will be back at the Maradona, in front of the same stands.
