Napoli confirm Di Lorenzo has a thigh tear and will miss Lazio
Scans at Pineta Grande Hospital show a muscle tear in the captain's left leg. He has started rehabilitation, but the club has not given a return date.

Giovanni Di Lorenzo has a muscle tear, not just fatigue. Napoli have released the results of his scans at Pineta Grande Hospital, which show a «strain lesion of the adductor longus muscle of the left thigh». The club says the captain «has already begun his rehabilitation programme» but gives no recovery time. Until now, the talk had been of about two weeks, with the Torino game on 21 November as the target.
He picked up the injury in the 2-0 against Juventus at the Allianz Stadium. Since then Napoli have had no recognised full-backs. Olivera is out for about a month, and Spinazzola and Favasuli are both sidelined. In Porto, Allegri switched to a 3-5-2 with Politano and Lang as wing-backs, and the 4-1 at the Dragão showed how far that set-up can be stretched.

Leaders Lazio come to the Maradona on Sunday 8 November at 12:30 CET (11:30 UK, 06:30 ET). They have 28 points, twice Napoli's 14. The club statement does not say who will play on the right, so that decision falls to Allegri.
