Napoli fans revive 'Marotta League' anger over fixture list
Napoli play Bologna just three days after losing to Arsenal, while Inter get five days' rest before facing Udinese.
Napoli's 0-1 Champions League defeat to Arsenal at the Maradona last Wednesday has reignited fan anger on social media over the Serie A schedule. Napoli return to action on Sunday 13 September at 18:00 against Bologna, with only three days to recover. Inter, who played their own European game on Tuesday, do not face Udinese until Monday at 20:45 — a full five days later.
That gap has brought back the "Marotta League" complaint among supporters, who believe the distribution of early and late kick-offs systematically favours Inter. It is not the first time the issue has flared up: Aurelio De Laurentiis has previously spoken out publicly against Serie A's fixture scheduling.

The row lands at an uneasy moment. Napoli sit twelfth with 3 points after three straight defeats to Como, Inter and Arsenal, and general sale for the Bologna game at the Maradona has stalled at 11,000 tickets. With just three days to recover from European duty, Allegri is still looking for his first home win of the season on Sunday.
