Asked whether Napoli have truly turned a corner after Sunday's 1-0 win over Bologna, pundit Dario Perugia gave a blunt verdict on Massimiliano Allegri's future.
Bluntly, in my view Allegri won't eat, I won't say the panettone, but the Easter egg.
It is an Italian shorthand for how long a coach survives in the job — not making it to the panettone (Italy's Christmas cake) would mean gone by December, not making it to the Easter egg pushes that horizon into spring instead.

Stanislav Lobotka's goal in the 66th minute ended a run of three straight defeats (Como, Inter, Arsenal), but it did not move Napoli off 10th place, stuck on 6 points from 4 games. Allegri replaced Antonio Conte on the bench on 3 July, signing a contract until 2029, and the debate over his future remains wide open.
The next test comes on Sunday 20 September at 12:30 CET, away to Fiorentina.
