Unnamed holding company joins Aponte in talk of a Napoli sale
The MSC founder from Sorrento is still the name most often linked with the club. The new suitor has a huge turnover, and it has been linked with Napoli before without anything coming of it. There is no confirmation yet.

A second potential buyer for Napoli has surfaced alongside Gianluigi Aponte: an unnamed holding company with a long history and a very high turnover, described as having sailed "in golden waters for a lifetime". Nothing has been confirmed. The same group was linked with the club in the past, and nothing came of it.
The picture is clearer on Aponte. The MSC owner could buy the club outright, and as a Sorrento native he fits the profile De Laurentiis has hinted at, a Neapolitan buyer rather than an American one. But the only subject officially discussed with the Aponte family in Geneva was the stadium. Rizzetta, meanwhile, has come down to €1.3bn, and the president has no intention of stepping aside.

So there is a name with no offer, and an offer with no credible name behind it. On the pitch, Napoli are tenth on 11 points, and Landucci takes charge on the bench at the U-Power Stadium on Wednesday 28 October, kick-off 20:45 CET (19:45 UK, 15:45 ET).
