Today's chorus tells of more rows than football, and it leaves us a little unconvinced: La Repubblica's headline promises a reason that never turns up in the copy, and calling a side ninth, with seven points, after an away draw a flop is a strong word. The Sky Sport data point convinces us more: a Napoli side that drops off as soon as it goes ahead is nothing new — we saw it in the comeback conceded to Inter and in the loss to Como. The sanction to Lang gives real weight to the word "tension" that the papers use rather loosely: that is a verified fact, not an impression. What the whole review misses is the simplest question: with this squad, why does Napoli keep losing control of matches it already has in hand?
