Anguissa to miss Fiorentina game too as recovery drags on
The adductor strain that kept the midfielder out against Arsenal and Bologna has not cleared, and Napoli now expect him back only after the international break.
Frank Zambo Anguissa will miss Sunday's trip to Fiorentina, ruled out again by the muscular strain in his adductor that already kept him out of the 0-1 Champions League defeat to Arsenal and the 1-0 win over Bologna. Word from Castel Volturno (the training ground) is that his return has been pushed back to after the international break.
MRI scans have ruled out a muscle tear or any serious structural damage, but the pain persists and stops him training with the group. He is continuing personalised reconditioning work and gym-based therapy, assessed day by day by head coach Massimiliano Allegri and the medical staff.

Napoli go to the Franchi already missing McTominay, out until October following heart ablation surgery, so Allegri keeps pairing Gilmour with Lobotka in midfield, a partnership born out of the pair's simultaneous absences. Anguissa's contract runs out in June with no renewal talks under way, and a departure at the end of the season is now a real possibility.
