Napoli keep fading after an hour, and Allegri must fix it at Porto
Against Juventus in Turin, the game fell apart between the 70th and 87th minutes. Napoli now go to Porto with ten players unavailable and no specialist full-back.

Napoli play Porto at the Dragão at 21:00 CET (20:00 UK, 15:00 ET) on Wednesday 4 November with a problem that goes beyond the injury list: they cannot last 90 minutes. In Turin they held Juventus until the 70th minute. Then Alajbegovic scored, Marianucci was sent off in the 75th and Boga added a second in the 87th. Juventus had 18 shots to Napoli's seven, and only one of ours was on target. On the eve of Porto, Politano did not dress it up: "We're falling back into the same mistakes we made."
The risk is greater in Porto. Allegri has ten players unavailable and no specialist full-back, so every substitution weakens the side instead of strengthening it. Farioli's Porto have won all 10 of their league games, although they still have no points in the Champions League.
In our view, the responsibility is clear. Allegri took this Napoli job on a three-year contract worth €6m net with no clauses, and he set his own target of fourth place. A coach who signs on those terms cannot then hide behind a thin squad. Managing the energy of a short-handed team is part of his job. After Turin, De Laurentiis spoke to the players about their attitude in the second half. The second half in Porto will show whether it worked.
