Press looks past Napoli's 3-3 with Roma as fans dwell on the 89th minute
Sunday's papers split their attention between Allegri's off-mic remark and the club's planned training centre. In between are the voices of the players who were on the pitch.

The Sunday 25 October papers are more interested in what was said after the final whistle than in what happened before it. Napoli had gone back in front against Roma and still drew 3-3. The game left plenty of material for interviews and few certainties.
The Corriere dello Sport opens with the most debated line of the night. It reports a remark Allegri made off-mic after the 3-3, and puts it in its headline: "Last year they put the Champions League in his pocket." In what we have seen, the paper links the line to last season's Champions League and says nothing more. We do not know who it was aimed at, so we will not guess.

Il Mattino looks away from the pitch. Its headline says Aurelio De Laurentiis is "close to announcing the training centre at Qualiano". The paper writes that the preliminary agreement for the Casa del Napoli should be ready early in the week beginning Monday 26 October. Chiariello writes the paper's account of the project.
Il Mattino also reports a protest before kick-off. Supporters in the Curva A and Curva B (the two ends behind the goals) and outside the Distinti (the side stand) unfurled a banner against the rising cost of living. It read: "You are denying the future to an entire generation."
The players' view
Most of what was said about the match came from DAZN, which broadcast it. Anguissa is quoted under the headline "We shouldn't have conceded the 3-3". He talks about the comeback, his goal and his return after a month out. In a second interview, headlined "It wasn't meant to go like this", he says the goal was not planned. Asked about his job on De Bruyne, he answers in terms of the team.
Roma's view is the mirror image. Mancini tells DAZN: "We didn't give up, we didn't let it get us down." He adds that his side believed in the comeback, but that Anguissa's ball could have been dealt with better.
For Napoli it was a 3-3 they should not have conceded. For Roma it was proof they never gave up. Both accounts start from the same point, Napoli 3-2 up in the 83rd minute, and reach opposite conclusions.
DAZN also goes back over Allegri's sending-off in the 90th minute, after Balerdi's equaliser. It shows his exchange with the referee, Colombo, and gives its own reading of why he was shown red. Badiashile, injured after the game, tells DAZN that "adapting here was very difficult" but that he now feels good. His answer for stopping Malen is to work as a team.
Our view
The papers have spotted what the interviews talk around. Napoli had the game in hand and let it slip between the 69th and 74th minutes, then let it go again in the 89th. This is a side that lurches from one goal to the next without ever controlling the match. To us, that matters more than the red card or an off-mic remark.
A line about last season's Champions League does not answer the people asking why Napoli cannot close out a home game at the Maradona against a side of their own level, whoever the line was aimed at. The training centre is real news, but on Sunday it pulled attention away from the pitch. The club tied Allegri's position to Bodø and Roma, and the people in charge have still not said clearly where that leaves him.
