Di Lorenzo has knee contusion but should face Monza on Wednesday
The captain's second-half substitution against Roma was forced by a knock picked up in the Champions League win over Bodø/Glimt, Allegri explained. He is expected to be available for Monza-Napoli on Wednesday 28 October.

Di Lorenzo's withdrawal in the second half of Napoli-Roma was not a tactical decision. The captain took a heavy blow to the knee in the 4-3 win over Bodø/Glimt on Tuesday, started against Roma anyway, and the pain became unmanageable. Allegri explained it at his press conference.
The picture is reassuring. It is a painful contusion, to be managed with the medical staff over the next two days, and barring surprises the number 22 will be available for Monza-Napoli at 20:45 CET (19:45 UK, 14:45 ET) on Wednesday 28 October at the U-Power Stadium.

The concern remains the defence. Napoli conceded three goals in the 3-3 draw after the game was under way, and the injuries keep piling up. Badiashile has stopped again, with his availability known within 48 hours, while Buongiorno, who had a meniscus operation, is expected back in January.
Di Lorenzo's knee needs careful handling, without forcing it for a game that matters. Juventus, Porto in the Champions League and Lazio follow. If Allegri does not control the captain's minutes, the defence will pay for it.
